I am thrilled to announce a very exciting opportunity for artists to take a quantum leap forward in their work! Artist and Professor AMY DAY, www.amyeday.com, Visiting Artist at COLBY GALLERY, is offering Chicago Artists a unique, personal creativity workshop to kick off 2018! DAY has taught this workshop, which she innovated, at the graduate and undergraduate level for ten years and has been using it for twenty.
If you ever experience artist block or have spent too much time out of the studio, or even if you have a flourishing studio practice, this creativity workshop will teach you how to immediately access your present visual symbolism and reinvigorate your practice with a daily method to keep your art and ideas fresh, enlivened, and truthful. You will learn a skill so that you are never stuck again and have access to your most current internal inspiration, any time.
Added bonus: You will have 50 new small, original works and one new large drawing for your website and current body of work to show, sell, and market. (50 x $50. = $2,500.+ selling potential)
DRAWING INTENSIVE: Saturday February 10th, 2018 - 12pm - 6:00pm
WORKSHOP: Create five pieces a day for ten days based on AMY DAY’s program resulting in fifty new works in your own existing primary artistic language.
EXHIBITION: The workshop will culminate in a group exhibition at COLBY GALLERY to showcase work from the program in a co-curatorial extravaganza.
