This three part program commemorates the dark colonial history of Chicago—the 125th anniversary of the World’s Fair—and seeks to empower and liberate voices that were silenced at that time, and who continue to struggle.
We are seeking movers to create a modern response to these moments in history, and we are working through the lens of Sri Lankan artists, who we are collaborating with. We are exploring site-specific movement (Hyde Park, The Midway Plaisance, Sri Lanka) and culturally-specific movement language. Let's make some dialogue!
Please email your resume to email@example.com to reserve your spot.
